Felicity Miles is a part-time PhD student in the School of Arts and Humanities at the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ of Worcester.

 

Felicity’s main research interest is surrogacy law. Her PhD research concerns whether children’s rights are sufficiently protected by the law in gestational surrogacy agreements.

 

Felicity is a member of the Constitutions, Rights and Justice research group at the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Of Worcester. She presented a paper at the Constitutions, Rights and Justice: In Theory and Practice Conference in September 2023, titled, ‘Surrogacy in the UK: Are the rights of children born through gestational surrogacy adequately protected by the law?’ She also presented a paper at the group’s Spring Research Seminar, titled, ‘In the best interests of the child: Mapping the paramountcy principle in the context of surrogacy law.’ (April 2024)

 

Her supervisors are Dr Chris Monaghan and Dr Josie Welsh.
